Daily Blessings That Never Change

Daily Blessings That Never Change

Psalm 103:1 (NKJV)

“Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me bless His holy name!”

Psalm 103:1 (NKJV)

My first thoughts of ‘blessings’ sent my thoughts racing to think of all that God has done for me, personally. As I continued to ponder, I was drawn to Psalm 103. God kept asking, ‘How often do you intentionally bless Me?’ I concluded that blessing God with all that I am will help me to praise God on the outside genuinely. As I continued to search, God took me to Psalm 104. David began this Psalm like he did the previous. However, in this Chapter, I found many reasons to bless the Lord. David guides us to salute God for His greatness, majesty, glory,  and wisdom. We must also greet Him for His goodness to all creation.

God’s finished work at creation and on the Cross Of Calvary are commonly taken by us for granted. We remember to mention some of these blessings when we are about to pray. My prayer is that we bless God for the fact that He never had to remodel, reverse the cycles of life, draw back His unconditional love, and revise His covenants. In this world of inconsistencies, changing values, confusion, and hatred, we are constantly faced with situations that attack our souls. Our mental, emotional, and physical health are compromised when we do not understand all that is within us, and all that we have comes from God.

To maintain a balance and remain on the path that God planned for each of us, we must seek the absolutes in this life. Absolutes are complete, perfect, entire, and unlimited. The word of God is the revelation from God and is time-tested and accurate (Romans 3:4; 2 Timothy 3:15-17)

Postmodernists are presenting truth to be viewed as a social or personal decision. These ideas do not present stability. They are placing the vulnerable on sinking sand rather than a solid foundation. Jesus Himself testifies of the source of Truth in John 17:17. Our soul longs for the Truth.

The fact that man is searching for truth reveals that there are unanswered questions. What is the correct path to follow? How would I know what is real? Where can I find something that will last forever? Jesus says in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life…”. Let’s spend quiet time in His Word, be obedient to His Word, glorify Him to others, obey the Golden Rule, and continue to bless Him. He’s forever the same.
